Claim Reporting

Lawyers are required to report a claim to your insurer as soon as practicable after learning of a claim or becoming aware of circumstances which might give rise to a claim, however unmeritorious.

LIANS is established and operated pursuant to the Legal Profession Act and its Regulations. LIANS is a subscriber of the Canadian Lawyers’ Insurance Association (CLIA), an Alberta licensed insurance reciprocal that is the insurer of the program.
