With this, our last issue of LIANSwers for 2022, I want to thank everyone’s efforts through what has been, at times, another trying year. As we head into 2023, I offer this line from the columnist Bill Vaughan:

An optimist stays up until midnight to see the New Year in. A pessimist stays up to make sure the old year leaves.

And to tell you that I disagree with him, at least in the absolute. Yes, I know 2022 seemed little different from 2021 which seemed little different from 2020. But it is also true that there is always something, often several things, good in any year that we are happy that happened. And to be optimistic that there will be more things like them in the future. There are certainly some things we will not miss from 2022. But there are other things we will happily take with us into the future.

So, with that, I would like to wish each of you – our friends – and your teams and all your families, immediate and extended, a happy, healthy and safe holiday season and a new year of happiness, good health and every success.

Kindest regards,
Lawrence Rubin
