It goes without saying written advocacy is an important part of any litigation. Perhaps the most important part because the Judge will have read it before you say a word in court. And what they read is likely to have informed an initial opinion of your position. Maybe even their final opinion.
We recently came across a paper written by Justice David Stratas of the Federal Court of Appeal titled “Some Thoughts on Legal Writing and Written Advocacy”.
We will only say that it is a highly recommended read.
